How to Prep for Thanksgiving in Your Lifestyle Home
Are you hosting Thanksgiving dinner at your Lifestyle home in Middle Tennessee this year? Don’t fret! We’ll help you get ready for your successful Thanksgiving dinner with these simple steps.
Start Planning Your Menu
A few weeks before the big event, start planning out your menu. If you are fully in charge of food, make sure you cover every course, from appetizers to desserts. Are your guests going to bring food? Great! Be sure that you know what they are bringing so you do not have two of the same dish or food item on the menu!
Get Your Thanksgiving Decorations Ready
Whether you use orange and yellow dinner plates, or have turkey figurines around your home, be sure to locate and organize your Thanksgiving decorations. Try to have a specific spot for each decoration and have it properly placed well in advance. The decorations are the last thing you want to worry about on Thanksgiving!
Arrange Furniture for Your Guests
Depending on how far your family, friends and additional guests are traveling, they may stay the night at your home. Be sure that your furniture is properly arranged to suit their needs as an overnight guest.
Start Cleaning in Advance
There is nothing worse than waking up on Thanksgiving morning and realizing that your entire home is a mess. Take your time, but be sure to try and clean your home well in advance of Thanksgiving. When you clean ahead of time and take steps to keep it clean, you’ll be in a much better position once Thanksgiving rolls around.
Prep/Gather Your Food
A few days before the Thanksgiving dinner, start prepping and gathering the food you’ll need for your menu. Being prepared is much better than running around frantically cooking all day on the November holiday. If certain food items need long periods of time to cook or get ready, be sure to allocate that amount of time in order to have great tasting food this Thanksgiving!
This step is pretty self-explanatory. When the time is right, start cooking up that amazing meal you have planned! Remember to give yourself enough time to have everything properly cooked.
Enjoy the Holiday With Friends, Family and Guests
After everything is done and ready, take a deep breath and enjoy your time with your family and friends. You’ve worked hard for this amazing dinner, so enjoy it!
